Cambodia secured a 1-0 victory over Myanmar in their opening Group B match of the Division 2 FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on the evening of Sept. 27.

Cambodian national team player Sin Kakada scored the winning goal in the 90+4th minute to give Cambodia all three points.

The victory put Cambodia at the top of Group B with three points, followed by Myanmar in second place, also with three points. Myanmar have completed their two group-stage matches, recording one win and one loss, while Timor-Leste are third with no points.

Cambodia will play their final Group B match against Timor-Leste on Sept. 30 at Kai Tak Stadium. The Group B winner will advance to the final against the Group A winner for the Division 2 FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 title.

Group A consists of hosts Hong Kong, Laos and Brunei. Hong Kong currently lead the group with three points, followed by Laos with three points after completing their matches, while Brunei have no points.

The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 is divided into two divisions. Division 1 features six higher-ranked ASEAN teams and two guest teams from Asia, Bangladesh and Pakistan, for a total of eight teams. Division 2 features five lower-ranked ASEAN teams according to the FIFA Ranking, along with Hong Kong, for a total of six teams.

Division 2 is divided into two groups, with Hong Kong, Laos and Brunei in Group A, and Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Cambodia in Group B. Cambodia's two group matches are against Myanmar on Sept. 27 and Timor-Leste on Sept. 30, both at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.

The Division 2 final is scheduled for Oct. 3, when the Group A winner will face the Group B winner for the championship.

The 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup is the inaugural edition of the FIFA-recognised international football tournament featuring men's national teams from Southeast Asia and guest teams.
