AKP Phnom Penh, September 11, 2026 -- Local administrative forces in Sihanoukville raided two interconnected townhouse locations in Village 5, Sangkat 4, seizing electronic equipment linked to online cybercrime and detaining seven Vietnamese men, officials said Friday.

The coordinated operation took place on Sept. 8 under the legal coordination of prosecutors attached to the Sihanoukville Provincial Court.

During the search, law enforcement officers confiscated eight all-in-one desktop computers, three laptop computers, and 74 mobile phones believed to be used in online fraudulent operations.

Police arrested seven Vietnamese nationals at the scene, including one individual found living in the country without a valid passport or legal documentation.

All seven suspects and the seized electronic evidence have been transferred to Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.
