AKP Phnom Penh, December 23, 2025 — A civilian residential area in the 5th Military Region, located in Kbal Koh, O’Chrov district, Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province, came under attack by Thai forces on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Ministry of National Defence, the densely populated residential area was shelled at approximately 4:10 p.m.

The ministry reaffirmed that Cambodian forces are continuing to closely monitor the situation and remain strong, brave, and vigilant in carrying out their duties to protect Cambodia’s territorial integrity.
