India Assists in Training Cambodian Officials in Drug Combat
AKP Phnom Penh, August 18, 2025 -- Twenty (20) young Cambodian officials have left the country to attend a training course on combating illicit drug trafficking in Palasamudran city, India.
According to Mr. Samrith Chethaphirom, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD), the training course, which is being held from Aug. 18 to 29, is made possible through financial support from the government of India.
The training is the second of its kind in the last five years for the NACD's officials, said H.E. Lt. Gen. Lim Tong Huot, Director of the Department of Promotion, Education, and Public Relations of the NACD's Secretariat.
He added that the first training took place from Feb. 3 to 11, 2019, and focused on addict treatment.
