Buddhist monks and laypeople from Banteay Meanchey province have delivered essential supplies to soldiers stationed at the Tamone and Ta Krabey Temples, in a gesture of support for the troops defending Cambodia’s territorial integrity.
The donation event, held on Friday morning, was led by the Venerable Nap Meun, Chief Buddhist Monk of Banteay Meanchey province, and included participation from several local businesspeople.
The donated items consisted of rice, canned fish, noodles, soft drinks, drinking water, and other daily necessities.
During the ceremony, Venerable Nap Meun praised the soldiers’ dedication and bravery. He offered prayers for their well-being, stating, “We pray to the sacred forces of the world and to His Majesty the Father of the Nation, to protect all our soldiers from harm, grant them good health, and enable them to continue their noble mission of defending the nation. The actions of every soldier form a shield safeguarding peace and harmony for all Cambodians.”
A soldier representative expressed gratitude on behalf of the troops, highlighting the morale boost provided by the donations. “We accept these donations as a great source of encouragement, inspiring us to be even more committed to our duties. The unity between those at the frontlines and those behind them reflects that the entire Cambodian nation is one family,” he said.
