Cambodia’s First Lady Awarded “Smile Asia Philanthropic Visionary Award”
AKP Phnom Penh, Aug. 15, 2025 --
Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet has earned the “Smile Asia Philanthropic Visionary Award” by Smile Asia in recognition of her exceptional contributions to healthcare promotion, particularly in public health, population welfare, and child welfare.
H.E. Ms. Gan Siow Huang, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, presented the award to the Cambodian First Lady during the “Smile Asia Charity Gala 2025,” held at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on Aug. 14.
“This award is not just a reflection of my own devotion—it is a tribute to my fellow citizens who have believed in and accompanied me in pursuing a vision of a much better and brighter world,” she said.
She dedicated the honour to her family, friends, and colleagues who have stood by her and supported her involvement in humanitarian, social, and educational initiatives.
“While the poverty rate has declined, vulnerability remains. The actions we take, the moments we feel, the hands we hold, and the voices we raise are never about me—they are about the goals we share and the humanity we cherish, believing that no one is more valuable than another,” she stressed.
She acknowledged that humanitarian work is a challenging journey filled with joy and heartbreak, commitment and encouragement, and moments of exhaustion. “Yet in every shared story, every effort extended, and every obstacle overcome, there is a spark,” she added.
Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony expressed her gratitude to Smile Asia not only for the recognition but also for believing in the importance of compassion, dignity, and service. She also extended heartfelt thanks to Smile Asia Cambodia for its dedicated volunteers, medical professionals, and generous partners and stakeholders whose work is transforming lives and strengthening communities in Cambodia.
