The Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), along with all their member institutions, are committed to implementing to the best of their ability a series of relief measures to alleviate financial burden for people affected by the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

In a joint press release issued on July 30, the two associations expressed their full support in response to the appeal of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and in line with the directive of the National Bank of Cambodia dated July 30, 2025 on "Measures to Alleviate the People Affected by the Cambodia-Thailand Border Conflict."

This commitment is made in the spirit of solidarity, humanity, and in an effort to relieve the financial burdens of the armed forces, families of fallen soldiers, wounded and disabled soldiers, and displaced civilians due to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

The Association of Banks in Cambodia and the Cambodia Microfinance Association, together with all their member institutions, firmly believe that their collective support, contribution, and efforts reflect the spirit of national unity, patriotism, and the rich culture of compassion and sharing that defines the Cambodian people.

This is the unwavering commitment of the banking and financial sector to assist the people and the nation during these difficult times.

Both associations expressed their deepest gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, as well as to the armed forces of all ranks, the military, and the national police, for their continuous dedication to the well-being of the citizens, and for their sacrifice of body, mind, and blood in their noble efforts to protect territorial integrity and seek peace for the people.
