AKP Siem Reap, July 23, 2025 --

Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra was presented with the “Special Envoy of Information Integrity” Special Award this afternoon in Siem Reap.

The award was conferred by H.E. Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media of Sri Lanka, during the 20th Asia Media Summit, hosted by Cambodia from July 21–24, 2025.

H.E. Neth Pheaktra expressed his sincere thanks to the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) for the recognition. “Thanks for this award—though it also gives me more work to live up to the title,” he remarked with a touch of humor.

The Minister reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to empowering citizens with reliable, accurate information in an age increasingly affected by disinformation, fake news, and the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other transformative technologies.
