Thai Forces Kill Two More Cambodian Civilians

Two more Cambodian civilians have been killed and four others injured as a result of Thai forces’ continued aggressive military operations against Cambodia’s territorial integrity, the Ministry of Interior reported.
From 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 21 to 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2025, Thai forces used F-16 fighter jets and various types of artillery shells to attack civilian areas. These attacks resulted in the deaths of two civilians and damage to a house in Oddar Meanchey province.
In Preah Vihear province, two houses were destroyed, while in Banteay Meanchey province, three people were injured and damage was reported to four buildings and houses, a hotel, and a road.
In Battambang province, a Chinese national working as a miner for a mining company was injured, and one house was damaged.
According to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence, as of the evening of Dec. 22, the civilian death toll reached 21 while the number of the injured rose to 83.
