Cambodia Expresses Grave Concern Over Humanitarian Crisis at ASEAN Meeting

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has expressed concern over the worsening humanitarian situation affecting nearly half a million displaced Cambodians.
He shared the concern during a meeting with H.E. Dr. KAO Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon, on the sidelines of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
H.E. Prak Sokhonn further emphasised Cambodia’s strong commitment to promoting shared peace, security, and prosperity in the region, in accordance with the ASEAN Charter and the fundamental principles of international law, guided by a spirit of constructive engagement with all ASEAN Member States and partners.
In addition to the meeting with the Secretary-General, H.E. Prak Sokhonn held bilateral discussions with his Singaporean, Lao, and Philippine counterparts to strengthen cooperation and promote essential confidence-building measures.
