Thai Military Continues Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure
AKP Phnom Penh, December 10, 2025 --
Thai forces have continued attacking Cambodian civilian infrastructure in Banteay Meanchey province, according to the latest press release from the Ministry of National Defence.
On Dec. 10, 2025, at 3:45 p.m., the Thai military fired two 155mm artillery shells into Khvav Lekh Primary School in Svay Chek commune, Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province, the Ministry reported.
“This cruel act was an indiscriminate attack on civilian areas, specifically targeting a children’s school,” it underlined.
The Ministry of National Defence condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the inhumane and brutal acts committed by the Thai side. It stressed that such actions constitute a grave breach of the Ceasefire Agreement and the Joint Declaration between Cambodia and Thailand, signed on Oct. 26, 2025, under the auspicious witness of U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. Anwar Ibrahim, in his capacity as ASEAN Chair.
