AKP Phnom Penh, October 14, 2025 -- H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, met with a delegation from the Khmer Arts Association, based in Washington State, to strengthen cultural ties and explore collaborative projects.

The minister received Ms. Oum Mirady, President of the association, and her working group for a courtesy visit at the ministry's headquarters on Oct. 13.

In their discussions, both sides explored initiatives to promote Khmer culture, including facilitating study tours for U.S. students to Cambodia. The talks also covered preparations for upcoming Khmer cultural events scheduled to be held in Washington State.

Following the meeting, Minister Sackona presented the delegation with a collection of cultural materials for research, including documentary books on Royal Ballet choreography, original music scores, and official UNESCO documents pertaining to Cambodia's intangible cultural heritage.
