Cambodian Transport Minister Holds Talks with CMA CGM Group to Strengthen Transport and Logistics Cooperation

H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, met with Ms. Amélie Humphreys, General Manager of CMA CGM Group for Cambodia and Vietnam, on Aug. 14 afternoon, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The courtesy call and working discussion were attended by senior ministry officials and key stakeholders.
The discussions centred on CMA CGM Group’s strategic interests, innovative initiatives, and international best practices being applied in Cambodia and Vietnam. Both sides explored opportunities to strengthen public-private partnerships, particularly in advancing strategic infrastructure projects to support Cambodia’s growing logistics sector.
H.E. Peng Ponea commended CMA CGM Group for its contributions to the transport and logistics industries and welcomed further collaboration with the Ministry’s technical teams to assess market demands. He underscored the importance of enhancing Cambodia’s regional logistics competitiveness in line with the Royal Government’s long-term vision to achieve high-income status by 2050.
The Minister reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to sustainable development in transport infrastructure, emphasising the need for continued private sector engagement to realise the nation’s economic ambitions.
