NGOs Deliver Aid to Border Conflict Displaced Persons
AKP Phnom Penh, August 12, 2025 --
Forty-three Non-Governmental organisations (NGOs) in Cambodia, with 73 representatives, distributed relief supplies on Aug. 11 to people displaced by the recent Cambodia–Thailand border conflict at Chroy Neang Nguon Pagoda in Srey Snom district, Siem Reap province.
The operation, led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, assisted 134 families—450 people—still sheltering at the pagoda since July 24.
Local authorities reported that most displaced individuals are from Kok Morn commune in Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey province, where the situation remains unstable, preventing their return home.
