“Cambodia Loves Peace,” a Strong Message Cambodians Send to the World
AKP Phnom Penh, August 04, 2025 --
Cambodian people, both inside the country and abroad, have been joining rallies to send a clear message to the international community: “Cambodia Loves Peace,” “We Need Peace,” “Justice for Cambodia,” etc.
These simple yet powerful messages demonstrate that Cambodia and its people aspire to live in peace, free from all forms of aggression and violations.
The rallies aimed to appeal for stronger engagement by the international community in ensuring lasting peace and justice for Cambodia, while also expressing deep gratitude to Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet for his efforts to secure the ceasefire, and to all partners—especially Malaysia, the United States of America, and China—for their crucial contributions to achieving the Cambodia–Thailand ceasefire on July 28, 2025.
Moreover, they called on the Thai side to fully respect the terms and conditions of the ceasefire agreement and to return all remaining Cambodian soldiers captured on July 29, after the ceasefire had already taken effect.
The Cambodian people also honored their brave soldiers who lost their lives in defense of the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Speaking at a press briefing this morning, H.E. Pen Bona, Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, underlined that the voice of the Cambodian people is now resonating across the world.
He called on his fellow citizens to remain firmly united and to continue placing their trust in the Royal Government and the armed forces.
“Place your full confidence and trust in our Cambodian leaders and our brave armed forces in the just cause of defending our territorial integrity and the safety of our people,” he said.
