Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence has once again rejected Thailand’s baseless accusation that Cambodia deliberately fired projectiles into Laotian territory, reaffirming its willingness to fully cooperate in investigating the incident.

“Cambodia is ready to provide full cooperation for the Lao People's Army to conduct an investigation into the incident with a high sense of responsibility, professionalism, and transparency,” confirmed Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defence, at a press briefing this morning.

She emphasised that the accusation is false and malicious, intended to damage Cambodia’s international reputation.

The spokesperson also took the opportunity to reiterate that, unlike Thailand, Cambodia has not and will not violate the sovereignty of any neighbouring country, including the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
