The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), under the honorary presidency of Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and the direct leadership of Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, has provided crucial food and essential supplies to 200 families in Oddar Meanchey province this morning.

The aid aims to support vulnerable families grappling with emergencies and natural disasters.

The handover ceremony, held at the CRC provincial headquarter on July 11, was presided over by Dr. Uy Sam Onn, Director of the CRC’s Disaster Management Department and representative of Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, alongside with Provincial Red Cross branch officials.

During the ceremony, Dr. Uy Sam Onn extended Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen’s sincere appreciation to the leadership and staff of the provincial CRC for their commitment to providing swift humanitarian assistance to those affected by disasters. He emphasised that the support for these 200 families would significantly alleviate the challenges faced by vulnerable groups, including the elderly, widows with multiple children, persons with disabilities, and individuals living with HIV.

Ms. Mom Puthita, deputy head of the Provincial Red Cross Branch, conveyed deep gratitude to Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen for her unwavering dedication to the well-being of the Cambodian people. She noted that the food donation would undoubtedly ease the difficulties encountered by affected families during emergencies throughout the province.
