Cambodia v-Pass Soft-Launched to Streamline Entry for International Travellers
AKP Phnom Penh, July 02, 2025 --
The General Department of Immigration (GDI) under the Ministry of Interior has officially begun the trial implementation of the Cambodia v-Pass (Visitor Pass) system, replacing traditional immigration stamps and QR codes for foreign travellers.
The trial period began on July 1 and applies to all foreign travellers entering or exiting Cambodia through the Kingdom’s three international airports and international seaport checkpoints, the GDI announced.
This initiative supports the implementation of the Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy and the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1 of the Royal Government of Cambodia, aiming to modernise and streamline immigration procedures.
“The v-Pass system is a digital platform designed to replace traditional physical passport stamps and QR code stickers, streamlining immigration procedures for entry into and exit from the Kingdom of Cambodia. This system enhances efficiency, security, and processing speed at border checkpoints,” the GDI underlined.
According to the GDI, foreign travellers can access and download their Cambodia v-Pass information through the following channels:
1. Email
2. Official Cambodia e-Arrival website: https://arrival.gov.kh
3. Cambodia e-Arrival mobile application
During the first five months of 2025, Cambodia’s three international airports handled a total of 3.04 million air passengers—an 18 percent increase compared to the same period last year, said a report from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA).
The Kingdom is projected to welcome 7.5 million air passengers in 2025, representing a 20 percent increase over 2024, the report added.
