UN Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres praised Cambodia as a prime example of successful peacekeeping at the Ministerial Meeting on the Future of Peacekeeping, held in New York last week.

The praise was shared by the “United Nations in Cambodia” Facebook Page on May 23.

Once ravaged by civil war, he continued, Cambodia is now a leading contributor to peacekeeping missions worldwide, with over 8,000 peacekeepers deployed.

UN officials commended Cambodian peacekeepers for their skill, dedication, and commitment for peace, underlined H.E. António Guterres.
