Thai Educational Institutions Conduct Study Visits to Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, April 30, 2025 --
Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak granted here on April 30 an audience to Mr. Thourn Sinan, President of the Cambodia Chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), along with a delegation of teachers representing Thai educational institutions.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the study visit (FAM Trip) of representatives from Thai educational institutions to Cambodia.
The visit aimed to assess the current situation and prepare for the regular dispatch of Thai students, teachers, and educational staff to visit Cambodia annually, as part of an initiative under the Thai Ministry of Education’s Motivational Programme.
This programme seeks to encourage both public and private educational institutions in Thailand to integrate study tours for students, teachers, and staff to other ASEAN countries.
As a result of the meeting, H.E. Huot Hak expressed full support for the plan to send Thai students, teachers, and educational staff to Cambodia on an annual basis.
H.E. Minister also extended his gratitude to the delegation for choosing Cambodia as a regular tourism and educational destination.
He hoped that the delegation’s visit would proceed smoothly and successfully, ultimately leading to the signing of an agreement by the end of 2025.
