Three Russian Naval Vessels Make Four-Day Port Call in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, April 28, 2025 --
Three warships from the Russian Navy are making a four-day port call in Cambodia to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the Cambodian and Russian navies.
Led by Captain First Rank Aleksei Antsiferov of the Pacific Fleet, the vessels docked this morning at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province.
During their visit, the Russian naval delegation is scheduled to pay separate courtesy calls on the governors of Preah Sihanouk province and Sihanoukville, as well as the commander of Ream Naval Base.
The three vessels — Rezkiy (343), Hero (339), and Penchenga — carry a total of 262 crewmembers.
This visit follows the arrival of the Vietnam People’s Navy ship 261, which docked at Ream Naval Base yesterday for a three-day visit to further strengthen naval ties between Cambodia and Vietnam.
Earlier, on April 19, two vessels from the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) — Bungo (MST-464) and Etazima (MSO-306) — made a four-day port call at the base.
