Fauna & Flora, in collaboration with the Fisheries Administration, has successfully concluded its latest marine biodiversity research mission across several islands within Cambodia's coastal archipelago.

This ongoing initiative, now in its third year for the areas around Poulo Wai and Tang Islands and its second year at Pring Island, focuses on meticulously monitoring the health and diversity of vital marine ecosystems, particularly coral reefs.

A significant expansion of this year's research includes a first-time study by Fauna & Flora on the variety and abundance of seagrass species inhabiting the waters around Tang Island.

The crucial data gathered through these studies are intended to provide a robust scientific foundation for the Cambodian royal government's marine conservation planning.

By understanding the current state of these underwater environments, authorities can develop more effective strategies for the long-term sustainability of Cambodia's valuable marine biodiversity.
