Cambodian Parliamentary Awarded Founding Member Plaque at World Summit 2025

Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly, honourably represented Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and received the founding member plaque of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) during the World Summit 2025 of the Universal Peace Federation held in Seoul, Korea, from April 10 to 14.
The ISC officially recognised the Cambodian Parliament as a principal founder, with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and the architect of Cambodia's Win-Win policy, playing a pivotal role in establishing a global platform for parliamentary leaders serving the people.
During the event, Samdech Khuon Sudary, representing Samdech Techo Hun Sen, was awarded the ISC founding member plaque in acknowledgment of the Cambodian Parliament's significant contributions to global peace and prosperity.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, IPU Secretary-General Martin Chungong, and the Vice-President of the Korean National Assembly. Other notable speakers delivered impactful keynote addresses, highlighting pressing global challenges such as regional conflicts, climate change, inequality, and poverty, while emphasising the importance of collective action.
According to the Cambodian National Assembly, the ISC is dedicated to achieving lasting peace and shared prosperity across regions, and it unites Speakers of Parliaments worldwide to foster dialogue, cooperation, and address regional challenges while building an inclusive global order based on mutual understanding.
