Samdech Khuon Sudary Outlines Samdech Techo Hun Sen's Peace Theory at World Summit 2025

During the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) World Summit 2025 taking place in Seoul on April 11, Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, shared insights into Samdech Techo Hun Sen's Peace Theory, a framework founded on his successful Win-Win policy and strategies for post-conflict nation-building.
Samdech Khuon Sudary identified ten key pillars of this theory, which offer valuable lessons and inspiration for countries worldwide seeking sustainable peace and development.
1. Cultivating Trust as the Cornerstone of Peace: Trust is essential in building and maintaining peaceful relations between nations and communities.
2. Ending War Through Dialogue: Dialogue is prioritised as the primary means for resolving conflicts and ending wars.
3. Promoting Political and Military Integration: Integrating political and military entities is vital for lasting peace and stability.
4. Promoting Social and Economic Integration: Social and economic unification is crucial for national harmony and prosperity.
5. Embracing the Peace-Development Nexus: Linking peace with development initiatives ensures mutually reinforcing progress.
6. Ensuring Social Harmony as a Pillar of Peace: Social cohesion is fundamental to sustaining peace within societies.
7. Linking Peace with Transitional Justice: Implementing transitional justice mechanisms helps societies heal and reconcile after conflicts.
8. Promoting International Cooperation for Peace: Active participation in international collaboration fosters global peace.
9. Advancing Multilateralism for Peace: Building multilateral relationships strengthens global peace efforts.
