AKP Phnom Penh, April 11, 2025 --
Cambodian Tourism Minister H.E. Huot Hak and Indian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung met here on April 10 to discuss results achieved in the joint campaign “First Cambodia-India Tourism Year” as well as the cooperation in developing tourism products.
They exchanged views on cooperation in developing new tourism products for the new year such as religious tourism, film tourism, pilgrimage tourism, honeymoon tourism, and so on.
Both parties also stressed the importance of promoting more direct and regular flights between the two countries, experience exchange visits between their tourism institutions, organising a familiarisation trip (FAM Trip) for investors, media and tour operators, and completing the implementation of the actual eco-tourism investment projects.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador highly appreciated and valued Cambodia’s peace, political stability and good safety, which are key foundations for strengthening and expanding tourism cooperation between Cambodia and India, as well as factors that attract more and more Indian investors and tourists to invest and visit Cambodia.
