Cambodia, Korea Discuss Conservation and Promotion of Sustainable Development Practices in the Angkor Region
AKP Phnom Penh, April 09, 2025 --
The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea through the APSARA National Authority (ANA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have discussed conservation and promotion of sustainable development practices in the Angkor region.
The discussion took place between H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, ANA Director General and Ms. Lee Sejin, Deputy Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office, at the ANA’s headquarters in Siem Reap province on April 8.
The discussion focused on the successful collaboration between ANA and KOICA in various projects aimed at conserving and developing the Angkor sites.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed past initiatives that KOICA has supported, highlighting the positive impact on the preservation and sustainable management of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
They also explored potential future projects to enhance conservation efforts and promote sustainable development practices in the Angkor region.
