CPP President Receives a Courtesy Call by Senior CPC Official

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), received at the January 7 Palace here this afternoon visiting H.E. Yin Li, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.
During the courtesy meeting, H.E. Yin Li informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen of his visit to Cambodia, the purpose of which is to implement the consensus of the two countries’ leaders; strengthen mutual trust; deepen practical cooperation at the sub-national level; and promote the building of Cambodia-China community with shared future in the new era.
He spoke highly of Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s great contributions to strengthening and expanding Cambodian-China friendship, stressing that China considered Samdech Techo as an old friend and a veteran politician who is highly respected in China.
H.E. Yin Li reaffirmed that despite the complex changes in the global situation, China still supports the CPP’s long-term rule and the successive government led by Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. China supports Cambodia in choosing a development path in line with her own context and characteristics, and firmly opposes interference in Cambodia's internal affairs, he underlined.
In reply, the CPP president said that for Cambodia, China is the greatest friend, the most reliable partner and supporter, and reiterated the Kingdom’s stance to adhere to the "One China Policy".
Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked China for supporting Cambodia in choosing a development path in line with her own context and characteristics, and for providing numerous development assistance to Cambodia, which not only contributed to the national development, but also helped strengthen Cambodia's independence.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his strong belief that China will continue to help train CPP’s human resources, build the party, and exchange important study visits, especially support the training of young Cambodian politicians under the "Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship" programme, which will contribute to the exchange of youth in both countries.
