Cambodian Information Ministry and Indian Embassy Discuss Possible Collaboration
AKP Phnom Penh, February 24, 2025 --
Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra and newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung have discussed possible collaboration between the two countries, mainly in the field of information.
Held at the ministry in Phnom Penh this afternoon, the discussion touched on the dubbing of Indian movies and TV programme on modern agricultural practices to be broadcasted on the National Television of Cambodia (TVK), and a joint photo exhibition to mark the long history of relations and cooperation between the two both countries, among others.
Possible cooperation in the areas of media literacy and digital literacy was also raised on the occasion.
In addition, both sides discussed about their planned visit to Kratie province to inspect projects funded by the Indian government’s Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) through the Indian Embassy in Cambodia.
H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador spoke highly of the cooperation on information exchange between the Cambodian state-owned news agency – the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) and Indian news agency – Asian News International (ANI), and India’s support for the digitalisation of photo archives of AKP.
